I don’t know how EFT works and neither do I need to know. We can talk about neurotransmitters and brainwaves but these are just words to me. I know EFT works. There is an inner wisdom that knows and is something we all have.
If we tap and are thinking about the external process the internal process is lost. The connection within that says ‘trust me’ has to be established for healing and we need to quieten the mind.
When we connect to our inner wisdom we put our faith in something higher. When we acknowledge we need healing from an issue and accept and allow we are open to universal magic.
Our logical brain can lead us into all sorts of mazes and dead-ends. We honour people with superior brains in our society, but compared to our hearts, the brain knows diddly squat.
I have never been one to want to know how my lights worked, I was just happy they came on in the evening and allowed me to read. Similarly, I never stood behind the plumber as he fixed my boiler and asked him questions until I knew how my central heating warmed the house.
Why is it so important to dissect therapy techniques and give each process a long-winded name? It’s for intelligent people to understand and learn and make complicated. Then look good when they are able to explain in an important sort of way. Isn’t it enough that it works and when you use it you feel better?
We can dissect and probe and prod all we like but each person is different. So, no one psychological pattern or plan will fit, it has to be individual and it has to be based on feedback from the client.
One last thing, bringing science into healing may help our logical brain to understand how each process works but it will never heal us.
The universe or higher power heals us and I have yet to meet a single person who can sit down and tell me how the universe works.
